How Its Made
The Bug is made in my studio in Amsterdam. My goals are to use the essential features of the materials
The Bug is based on connections. CNC ( computer-controlled ) cut pieces of cotton paper engage in each other , thereby to overlap and form a 3D – surface .
The Bug is put together by hand . The modules are made of cotton paper . This ensures that the paper is stronger and more durable and provides the lamp with a unique texture. The legs are made of copper-plated metal that contrasts with the paper. The lamp is powered by a white adapter (plug type c , e, f) which is connected to the lamp with a wafer-thin white cord .
The Bug has a light output of 160 lumens . This can be compared with a 20 Watt light bulb . The body has a size of 23 cm in hight and 9.5 cm ∅. Total Size Length 22,5 cm Width 22,5 cm Height 33,5 cm
